Very few places where you have to go over bumps as of now, you can usually go around them. I got up easily with my 4wd Ford Escape, but I think it was overqualified. That being said, I think snow is forecast for the first, so it might get worse. | ||||

12/29/2025 Posted On: 12/29/2025 By: madmattd Info: I drove this road to Winfield on 12-21, and not a whole lot has changed - the storm this past weekend left ~1/2" of snow over most all of the road (except where the sun has melted out a few short stretches). All this really means versus prior reports is that there's just enough snow to hide any ice floes, and not enough to fill in all the washboarding. Getting to Missouri Gulch wasn't a big deal - while only AWD/4WD vehicles were at the TH today, a 2WD with good tires should be fine too. | 3 |
