14ersTopo Map Server

14ersTopo
To provide our mountaineering community with high-quality, free resources, we created 14ersTopo and 14ersSat—custom topographical and satellite maps hosted directly on 14ers.com. By moving away from third-party services that can cost $1,000 per month or more during peak hiking season, we've reduced these fees and reinvested that value into custom mapping layers for our users.

The 14ersTopo base layer offers high-resolution contour lines and fast load times specifically optimized for Colorado's rugged terrain. This dedicated server now powers the default base layer for all interactive maps across 14ers.com and its mobile apps, ensuring hikers have access to reliable, specialized maps without the burden of external costs. 14ersSat serves satellite imagery layer for the Colorado mountains. This layer eases our reliance on Google and other services for satellite imagery, reducing the costs associated with large-volume map use.

We are committed to keeping these resources open and accessible to all Colorado hikers without charging site membership fees. You can support the ongoing maintenance of these tools by visiting our Support Page.

The 14ersTopo topographical map is now the default base layer on 14ers.com interactive maps:
